Felix Shipkevich is principal and founder of Shipkevich PLLC, a law firm head quartered in New York City with offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and London specializing in corporate law and regulatory compliance. The firm offers legal compliance and regulatory services to the debt relief industry.  Mr. Shipkevich’s debt relief compliance practice includes providing regulatory compliance services, enforcement defense, and general counsel services to debt relief companies. He is editor in chief of DebtReliefWatch.com, an online resource benefiting debt relief company market participants and compliance practitioners, and has spoken nationally at various panels for the debt relief services industry including data security breaches as enforced by regulatory agencies.

Felix Shipkevich has represented various marketing and technology companies who service the debt relief industry. He has also represented companies under investigation by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC). He provides legal advice for non-bank consumer financial services representing a variety of cases including regulatory, enforcement, litigation, and public policy arena. He provides regulatory and transactional advice to clients including Dodd-Frank Act issues and other consumer protection services. In addition he counsels and provides regulatory advocacy to financial institutions and also concentrates on commodities, futures, foreign exchange, and many other areas of practice.

Mr. Shipkevich has represented clients in China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Ireland, Europe, Bermuda and the Caribbean, South America, and he is recognized as a solicitor by the Law Society of England and Wales. Prior to founding his private practice, Mr. Shipkevich was General Counsel of global Futures Commissions Merchants (FCMs) and Retail Foreign Exchange Dealers (RFEDs), where he oversaw the firm’s offices located in New York, Bermuda, Saint Petersburg, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

Mr. Shipkevich is also a special professor of law at Hofstra University teaching corporate finance law. From 2008 to 2011 Mr. Shipkevich served as the Chair of Futures and Derivatives Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association. Also, from 2012 to 2015 Mr. Shipkevich was on the Board of Directors of the New York County Association. He received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science, from SUNY Binghamton and his J.D. from Hofstra University.
